Recap of 2022
The Science Slam Club Basel looks back at a successful year 2022! We organised an info event at the Alte Universität in June and recruited several new members. On October 14th, we organised the 10th Science Slam Basel in the sold out Pathé Küchlin with more than 400 people in the audience. Watch the winning Slam of Benedikt Meyer on our youtube channel now!
General Assembly
Our yearly General Assembly took place on December 6th, 2022, where we recapped the last year, discussed activities in 2023 including the next Science Slam Basel, and approved the last financial report and an updated version of the statutes. We elected Jana Tischer as president, Ehssan Amini as vice-president and secretary, Tim Keller as treasurer, and Abdelradi Mohammed as revisor.
FameLab Basel semi-final
FameLab goes into the next round in 2023 with semi-finals in Zurich, Lausanne, and Basel and the final in Bern on September 18th. The Basel semi-final will be co-organised by the Graduate Center of the University of Basel and the Science Slam Club and will most likely take place on May 4th.
